The competition will be held on Monday, 12th March 2012 on the evening of our Annual General Meeting. To make this a successful evening we need our members to enter their photographs. Please look at the photo categories below and pick some of your existing photos or take some when you have the opportunity. The audience will judge the entries on the evening and will vote for the best entry in each category. There will be some "small" prizes. There are three categories and you may enter a maximum of 2 photos per category, to a maximum of 6 photos per member. The categories are:-

1. Taken at a Hardy Plant Society Event
2. Plant close-ups
3. Garden wildlife

Rules for entering your photo(s):-

1. Your entry must be an original photograph, not previously entered in the HPS Cumbria Group Members' Photo Competition.
2. Your entry must be in digital [jpg or jpeg] format, preferably at as high a resolution as possible, either on a CD or sent by email as an attachment.
3. Each photo must have a suitable, explanatory title relative to the category.
4. Each photo must have a note attached giving the title, category number and your full name.
5. By entering the competition you agree to assign publication rights to HPS Cumbria Group.
6. The Closing Date for entries is Friday, 2nd March 2012.

Entries should be sent to, or given, as soon as you can, to:- Ken McGrath. Please note that your photos will be returned to you and will be available to be collected on the evening of the competition.
